Certainly not as big as Ashes but a much tougher competition than Ashes! Over-coming all the odds the Ashes rivals will face each other once again but this time in competition that is not Ashes. Ofcourse, it will be a treat not just for the people of England and Australia but for all the cricket lovers around the world, when cricket's oldest rivals will be face to face tonight.
I belief this competition will be tougher than Ashes because both teams are playing to their fullest and both have showed eagerness and seriousness of becoming world champions. English players has proved a point that they are here for a serious business. With KP in the best of his form and other English men contributing heavily to England's cause, Australia's mission has become a lot more difficult.
Australia has made a statement by beating Pakistan. Clarkey and company has had enough of t-20 criticisms. It is the perfect time to answer their critics. Australians entered in this tournament ranked 9th and if they grab the world title they will be entering next WC as number 1.
So stage is set, its a grand finale! Both team in form; both teams on a mission; English and Australian players grow up with a dream that one day they will outclass their Ashes/arch rivals on the biggest stage of cricket. Here it is one more time; one more chance. It is not just the world championship title, it has pride, glory, self-esteem and a lot more attached to it.
I just have a feeling that the wait is over for England. It's about time they get their hands on some ICC trophy. England has never won a 50 overs world cup but this could be the beginning of a new era for England winning their first T-20 title. As a cricket lover, I would love to see England beating Australia in a thriller to become the first non-Asian team to win the T-20 World Cup!
