Shoaib Akhtar - not my hero!

Unarguably - this decade and the previous one hasn't seen anything like Shoaib Akhtar. But in my books he was never a great servant of cricket or Pakistan. Throughout his career he considered himself bigger than the team and the game. He was involved in controversies all through out his career. Disciplinary issues, injury prone, doping scandal and a lot more has damaged Pakistan's image big time in the world of cricket. He created a bad boy trend in the Pakistan cricket which was followed by Aamer and Asif.

Shoaib's departure will not affect Pakistan cricket because when he was at his peak he was unwilling to play for the team and when he was willing to play for the team he had lost his peak.

It's time to look ahead and give a farewell to Shoaib and must ensure that we get rid of the bad boy trend created by Shoaib!
